You travel to an address, take photographs of something specific, and answer a plain question about what you found. Most jobs take under an hour including travel.

What you might be asked to do

Photograph a storefront and confirm the name on the sign
Confirm a business is open during its posted hours

A phone that records GPS location and timestamps on photos
Willingness to travel locally, usually within your own town
Comfort being in public and, occasionally, explaining what you are doing

Entering a private building, or anywhere requiring permission we do not have
Speaking to staff or occupants on your behalf — book the phone call for that
More than one address per booking
Repeat visits, or monitoring a location over time

What the job asks for

Making a purchase or transacting on your behalf
Interviewing staff or asking about business practices
Any judgement about whether the business is legitimate or solvent
Return visits if the premises are closed — the finding is reported as-is

How you get paid

Per job, at a rate we agree with you before your first one. The money is already paid and held before the job reaches you, so there is nobody to chase afterwards.

There is no automatic payment system yet — we pay you directly. That is one of the things that will change as this grows, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

If a job is not right

Say so and it is cancelled with a reason. Whoever booked it gets their money back in full. Turning down work you should not take costs you nothing here, and it is better than doing it badly.
