What the job asks for

One pull request or diff, up to 500 changed lines across any number of files
Correctness, error handling, and the edge cases the diff introduces
Readability, naming, and structure, with concrete suggested changes
Security and performance problems visible in the changed code

Never part of the job

Diffs over 500 changed lines — split them, or book the architecture review
Review of code the diff does not touch
Running, building, or deploying your code
Writing the fix or opening a follow-up pull request

Architecture review — one service, written findings

$350 · finish within 2 days

What the job asks for

One service or subsystem, reviewed against the goals you state
Failure modes, scaling limits, and the first thing likely to break
Data flow, state ownership, and coupling between components
Findings ranked by risk, each with a concrete recommendation

Never part of the job

More than one service — book one per service
Implementing any recommendation
Cost modelling or vendor selection
Security auditing — book the security review for that

How you get paid

Per job, at a rate we agree with you before your first one. The money is already paid and held before the job reaches you, so there is nobody to chase afterwards.

There is no automatic payment system yet — we pay you directly. That is one of the things that will change as this grows, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

If a job is not right

Say so and it is cancelled with a reason. Whoever booked it gets their money back in full. Turning down work you should not take costs you nothing here, and it is better than doing it badly.
